Most Improved--All of us.
Anne was Toastmaster and a well-done job it was. She had a theme of encounters with animals in our lives. All enjoyed telling of their experiences with nature.
Guests were abundant Monday. Your report, in his usual manner failed to record their names, they promised to return this coming meeting date. We trust they will and then I will get their names.
- Dan Naden's speech title was, "Daniel, where are the Pictures?" a story about an encounter with Dan's father and a digital camera. Dan did a great conversation with his father "on stage and live," that we all enjoyed. Dan won the "ribbon"
- Antoinette's title was, "What kind of performer are you?" We all took a deep breath of "Air Supply" and enjoyed (some of us) Prince, Tom Petty, and the 'Windies'. Thank you Antoinette for suggesting we enliven our speeches with a little 'performance' adjustment.
- Harry did a "Presentation to the Board" speech. A most difficult type of speech to present. However Balcones provided a venue for Harry to practice a real speech to deliver in the future. Perhaps a more real use of Toastmasters opportunities than most of us use. Task well done, Harry.
